H.Res. 189: Nutrition Resolution | 116th Congress (2019-2020) Recognizing the importance of sustained United States leadership to accelerating global progress against maternal and child malnutrition and supporting United States Agency for International Development’s commitment to global nutrition through its multi-sectoral nutrition strategy.

H.Res. 517: Supporting the Global Fund to fight AIDS, tuberculosis (TB), malaria, and its Sixth Replenishment. | 116th Congress (2019-2020) This resolution commends the Global Fund to Fight AIDS and its partners for their contributions to ending the epidemics of AIDS, tuberculosis, and malaria. The resolution also affirms previous U.S. commitments to provide 33% of the fund’s budget, including for the Sixth Global Fund Replenishment, as demonstrated by legislation passed by the House of Representatives.

H.R. 3157: Working Families Tax Relief Act of 2019 | 116th Congress (2019-2020) This bill increases and revises requirements for the refundable earned income and child tax credits. It also makes similar revisions to the earned income tax credit for residents of Puerto Rico.

S. 1766: Reach Every Mother and Child Act of 2019 | 116th Congress (2019-2020) This bill directs the President to establish and implement a five-year strategy to contribute toward ending preventable child and maternal deaths globally by 2030.

S. 2438: End Tuberculosis Now Act of 2019 | 116th Congress (2019-2020) This bill directs the President to establish new goals for U.S. efforts to cure and prevent all forms of tuberculosis by updating the United States Government Tuberculosis Strategy (2015-2019) and the National Action Plan for Combating Multidrug-Resistant Tuberculosis. The President shall (1) coordinate with international organizations and partnerships such as the World Health Organization; and (2) provide bilateral assistance to support tuberculosis research, prevention, and treatment efforts.

S.Res. 260: Nutrition Resolution | 116th Congress (2019-2020) A resolution recognizing the importance of sustained United States leadership to accelerating global progress against maternal and child malnutrition and supporting the commitment of the United States Agency for International Development to reducing global malnutrition through the Multi-Sectoral Nutrition Strategy.

S. 1138: Working Families Tax Relief Act of 2019 | 116th Congress (2019-2020) A bill to amend the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 to expand the earned income and child tax credits, and for other purposes.

H.R. 1122: Housing Choice Voucher Mobility Demonstration Act of 2019 | 116th Congress (2019-2020) This bill authorizes the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to implement a mobility demonstration program to enable public housing agencies (PHAs) to administer housing-choice rental-assistance vouchers in a manner designed to (1) encourage low-income families receiving such assistance to move to lower-poverty areas, and (2) expand access to opportunity areas.

S. 1828: Credit Access and Inclusion Act of 2019 | 116th Congress (2019-2020) This bill allows for the reporting of certain positive consumer-credit information to consumer reporting agencies. Specifically, a person or the Department of Housing and Urban Development may report information related to a consumer’s performance in making payments either under a lease agreement for a dwelling or pursuant to a contract for a utility or telecommunications service. However, information about a consumer’s usage of any utility or telecommunications service may be reported only to the extent that the information relates to payment by the consumer for such service or other terms of the provision of that service. Furthermore, an energy-utility firm may not report a consumer’s outstanding balance as late if the firm and the consumer have entered into a payment plan and the consumer is meeting the obligations of that plan.
